Jubblies

I first became familiar with Wanda Wisdom & Lucky Bitch Radio
back in late 2006 when I did an interview for the progrum.
I have since become a regular listener to the podcast.
A combination of thought provoking and just plain silly,
it puts a smile on my face to listen.

So, on Sunday, as part of an ongoing discussion regardng jubblies,
I threw together a song called Jubblies and
sent it over to Wanda wisdom.
Recorded in my bedroom over the course of 2 hours
this is just pure silliness.

I highly recommend you check out her progrum
and not just because jubblies is the opening song for this edition,
but because I think you'll find that it might just
lighten your day a bit and provoke your mind to churn.

(Check it out)

Podcast Loveliness

Lynn Parsons is a highly engaging radio DJ in the UK who can currently be heard on London's Smooth Radio doing the afternoon and weekend show. I was delighted to discover that Lynn featured Open Wide this week on her podcast Planet Parsons-Episode#95.
I highly suggest you give it a listen. There is something about her voice that is quite delicious.
The great thing about Planet Parsons is that it doesn't really require a lot of time. It's a bite-size helping, so to speak, but incredibly satisfying.

You must listen to what she says after playing the song. It made me blush.

Whilst directing you to Lynn's site, I should also mention these lovely folks who have been spinning my music this week on their podcasts. The first is another one of our friends from the UK. The last two are in german, so you might want to get a headphone splitter for your ipod and enjoy those two with your friend Gunter.

DEUTSCHLAND--

Podcast Feature (Part 2)

Photo by the enchanting Carrie Thomas

Homopod Radio has been a huge supporter of my music.
As previously posted, they are featuring me as their artist of the month for August.
They recently posted part 2 of their feature.

It includes a demo version of Flapjacks, a song that will be on Sunrise at the Speakeasy. Just a note. Since sending them this version of the song, I re-recorded the lead vocals and have done a lot of little things...enjoy the sketch before the real thing makes its way into the world.

August Featured Artist

I absolutely love the boys over at Homopod Radio. If you haven't checked out their podcasts and video mixes, I highly recommend you do. One of the most enjoyable interviews I've ever done just happens to have been with them.

With that being said, I am pleased to announce that I am the featured artist of the month on Homopod Radio. Not only will they be playing tracks from Sirens of Brooklyn, but I have also given them some treats, which I know for a fact you haven't heard.

Hint:They sort of give it away on the most recent podcast, so i guess you'll have to listen to find out. :)

Ho Ho Mo

Last week, I did an interview for Homopod Radio, a great podcast dedicated to spotlighting "Out" musicians. They have been fierce supporters of my music and it is one of the most enjoyable interview I've done. I giggle a lot. :)
The interview is now up for your listening pleasure.

A Shout "Out"

This week, Lovetastic.com re-released a podcast from December of last year when I sat down with founder, Ryan Norbauer to discuss everything from religion and polution to the then untitled album I was recording.

Included are alternate and demo versions of songs that are on the album.

I greatly admire what Ryan is doing with this site. There should be more things like this out there
If you're a man of the "man-on-man" persuasion not looking to disco til your dick falls off, then you should pay this site a visit.

The Village Voice!!!

I am uber pleased to direct your attention to the Village Voice's Website for

Uncle LD's High Bias(podcast),

which includes a little track called
"Well Formed Man",
from my upcoming album, 'Sirens of Brooklyn.'

Thank you Uncle LD for including the track,
Track#4 on the album, btw.

Yipeee!!!

lyrics

There ain't nothin' better
than a well formed man,
when God didn't skimp on the time
he spent molding that clay in his hands.

There ain't nothin' better than a man with thoughts,
the kind that's aware that the head below his waist
ain't the only one he's got.

I've met so many men beyond repair.
I try to reach inside,
but there's nothing there.

Must I dig deeper?

Village Voice Podcast

I have some very exciting news to share.

High Bias by Uncle LD is a new Podcast on the Village Voice's website
hosted by
LD Beghtol.

Tune in this week to hear a song from my upcoming album, The Sirens of Brooklyn.
I won't tell you which one. You'll have to listen to find out.

And now a word from our sponsor

Without shameless begging, independent musicians would surely starve.
